We are looking for a mechanical engineer with excellent communication skills and the drive to excel as a simulation engineer.

What we do: Our clients turn to us to solve their most difficult simulation challenges. We have a nationwide reputation for providing state-of-the-art mechanical engineering simulations across industries from medical, aerospace, marine, automotive, chemical, mining to general consumer products. Through our partner company, Applied CAx, we sell Siemens PLM Software. We also use and advocate LS-DYNA from LSTC of Livermore, CA. Our work is never boring and we cover a broad swatch of mechanical engineering disciplines. Our proudest accomplishment is that we build models that are shown to validate whether by test or in service. We owe this achievement to our hard work, our mechanical intuition and our cleverness.

Ideal Candidate: BSME with a good theoretical and practical understanding of FEA. One should be comfortable with technical writing for proposals and reports. Much of our work is presented at the senior engineer and VP level, one should be able to effectively communicate analysis results while being critiqued. Since our project work is constantly changing, you should be knowledgeable on how to independently research solutions and develop analysis checks to verify your assumptions. The outcome of our work often has a large financial impact to our clients and margin for error rarely exist. If you strive to be the best in your field, this is the place for your talents.

To Be Successful in this Position: You will have a strong mechanical intuition backed up by a good understanding of engineering mechanics and materials; You are inquisitive about how things work and are not shy about asking your colleagues for assistance or digging through references or when appropriate, calling the client for more details; Dedicated to getting the right answer even if it involves missing a deadline; Ability to quickly learn new analysis techniques from linear dynamics (e.g., PSD) to fluid structure interaction (SPH/DEM/ALE); Interested in being challenged by a non-stop diversity of simulation projects and always quick to sketch or perform a hand calculation to verify a key assumption; Lastly, you are competitive and understand that discipline and hard work are fundamental to your success.
